So, since the internet seems to be working well tonight I thought I would upload some pictures of what time here has looked like so far. The captions will give some clue as to what everything is and maybe later this week I can update as to housing conditions and what not. Be sure to keep an eye to the side of the page as I can now send in mini-updates from my cell phone when the computer isn’t readily available. Tomorrow we’re off to the village to meet the 4 mothers of Kimeli! Woot Woot!
- A first glimps of Eldoret town!
- I’m not really sure what warrented this reaction- but its a classic
- The Kimeli Children (and my hat) preparing my welcome cake.
- this is me- being welcomed
- The beds
- Ya know, most missionaries don’t know what its like to have certain luxeries, such as a bathtub. Not this one- I have truly been blessed! Not only do I have a tub- its totally pink! :-D Yep, I have a pink tub, let us all praise the Lord!
- The sitting area- complete with random curtains, a bed and 4 golden girl-esc chairs.
- The kitchen.. that stove doesn’t work (yet) but there is a gas stove top on the table next to it so I wont starve or drink dirty water!
- front yard = corn and cows.
- Laura and Richard trying to push out the lake that came into the house during the rain.
- the outside of the building where my apt. is! tut-tut looks like rain, SOMEONE GET THE MOP!
